Beautiful vintage 1961 Cherry Gibson ES-335TD with Bigsby In Very Good condition! (Additional images on our site & upon request!)

Considered to be the holy grail of 335s, Ladies & Gents, we offer to you today this stunning 1961 Gibson ES-335TD in the iconic Cherry nitro finish, short pick guard. The Cherry finish is still rich and vibrant. Weighing in at a comfortable 7.87lb & with its two original PAF humbuckers kicking out 7.74kohms in the Bridge & 7.39kohms in the Neck, this is one original 335 that doesn't just weigh & play beautifully, this Gibson sings! & my god, it is glorious! Not to mention its beautiful shimmering tones from its original factory-fitted Bigsby (The tell-tale earth wire to the end pin is present and correct) no breaks or repairs, this is a really nice example.

While this is arguably one of the nicest examples currently on the market, this 335 does have a few areas worth noting, the first of which is the frets. At some point in this Gibson's 64-year history, it has had a refret where, unfortunately, there has been some 'blow out' around the frets where the originals have been removed.

Moving on to its electronics, the volume pot for the neck looks to have been replaced; however, all other electrical components do look to be original. We think that the pickup hight adjustment screws have been replaced, along with one of the volume control knobs. The original Kluson single-line double-ring machine heads have some age-related celluloid rot. This is very common when looking at vintage Gibsons from this period. Although it is still possible to tune the guitar, we would recommend that they be set aside and a reproduction set fitted by its future owner. Its original top nut has also been replaced. On a 64-year-old instrument, this is amazing news! Its original nitro cherry finish is in superb shape with the expected wear, It is just a first-class vintage instrument that could be the crown jewel of anyone's collection.
