It features not only the Onslaught "Sounds of Violence" custom graphic work which was expertly undertaken by Mike Hilditch, but also a Seymour Duncan Emty Blackout humbucker, a "real deal" original Floyd Rose and Gotoh machine heads. Setp for the way Nige likes it, for speed and accuracy.
It is a beautiful instrument in its own right with the added kudos of being this influential artist's songwriting and recording tool, and a piece of Thrash Metal guitar history.
The guitar was used for the recording of all the rhythm guitar parts on the upcoming “Onslaught Anniversary double album” due out in Spring 2024 (AFM Records)
Onslaught was formed in 1982 in Bristol, England, by guitarist Nige Rockett and drummer Steve Grice. The two musicians were working to forge an ultra-aggressive, speed metal sound that was becoming more popular in the days of early Slayer and Metallica.
”I was consumed with right-hand speed… I was always more interested in the rhythmic side of things”
Nige has also kindly agreed to supply a personalized letter of authenticity to its lucky new owner!
This guitar is not being sold with a case, but we can supply one at an extra cost,
