Here we have a superb Martin DCPA4 Performing Artist Series dreadnought acoustic-electric, handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA in 2012. This is a high-end professional grade acoustic featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top paired with solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, delivering the rich, powerful tone and outstanding projection that players expect from a premium Martin dreadnought.

The DCPA4 was designed with the modern performing musician in mind and features Martin’s comfortable Performing Artist neck profile with High Performance taper, making it exceptionally easy to play right across the fingerboard. The low profile neck combined with the Venetian cutaway offers effortless upper fret access and a smooth, fast playing feel. Tonally, this guitar delivers deep piano-like bass response, warm and articulate mids, and crisp sparkling highs, making it equally at home for fingerstyle, strumming and studio work alike.

Condition-wise, this guitar has been very well cared for and is presented in excellent overall condition. There are only light signs of careful use with no significant marks or damage to note. There is a small ding to the edge of the heel which is minor and does not affect the feel or playability in any way. The wood selection on this example is particularly attractive, featuring beautifully figured East Indian Rosewood and a tight, even grain to the Sitka Spruce top, giving the guitar a wonderfully high-end appearance. The setup is spot on with a low, comfortable action and excellent playability throughout. The frets are in great condition, having been professionally polished and crowned, and the guitar plays beautifully with no issues.

Factory fitted is the highly regarded Fishman F1 Aura onboard pickup and preamp system featuring volume, tone shaping controls and a built-in chromatic tuner. This system delivers an impressively natural amplified acoustic tone and is incredibly simple and intuitive to use both live and in the studio.
