Super-rare original 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee 25/50 Model 2553 head with matching 2556AV 2x12” cab, loaded with Celestion Greenbacks.
We’ve had the reissues here at Motomusic—great amps, but the 1987 originals are a different beast altogether. Built to celebrate Marshall’s 25th anniversary and Jim Marshall’s 50 years in music, the Silver Jubilee became a classic almost instantly. Think Slash, Frusciante, Bonamassa—this amp defined the era’s cutting yet warm rock tone.
25W/50W switchable power, effects loop, DI out, impedance selector, and a voltage switchable mains (240V/120V) for touring flexibility. Freshly serviced by Tube Distinctions and checked in-house. New power valves, just a few hours of use.
The 2556AV cab runs two Celestion G12M Greenback 122s. Some light marks and small tears in the original silver Tolex, all perfectly in keeping with its vintage status.
