2010 Fender Custom Shop “Custom” 1960 Telecaster NOS in Three Tone Sunburst with tortoiseshell bound body. A classic Custom Shop build with period-correct styling and superb attention to detail.
Finished in a beautifully applied Three Tone Sunburst with cream binding and tortoiseshell top binding, this Tele captures the elegant look of early-60s bound custom models. The NOS (New Old Stock) treatment means it retains a clean, factory-fresh appearance without relic wear.
This particular example comes from a large private collection and shows very little sign of use. There is no discernible fret wear and the guitar has an excellent setup with a lively acoustic resonance when played unplugged. No significant marks, chips or dings, it is in excellent near mint condition. This Tele weighs 7.10lb.
It is fitted with a pair of highly sought-after hand-wound pickups by legendary Fender pickup winder Abbygail Ybarra to ’63 specification. These deliver superb vintage Tele character with articulate highs, balanced mids and great dynamic response.
A four-way blade selector is fitted, offering the traditional Telecaster tones plus an additional series position for a fuller, hotter sound when required. It also has a vintage bridge with brass saddles.
Supplied complete with its original Fender Custom Shop case, certificate of authenticity, Fender leather strap and all original paperwork.
