Up for sale is a 2009 Epiphone Thunderbird Pro in Natural finish, a bass that delivers the unmistakable Thunderbird look and thunderous low-end response with impressive versatility and playability. This example is in excellent overall condition and has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. The natural finish beautifully shows off the grain of the body, giving the instrument a classic, understated aesthetic that pairs perfectly with the aggressive Thunderbird silhouette.
The Thunderbird Pro series elevated the standard Epiphone Thunderbird platform with active electronics and a more refined tonal palette, making these basses equally at home in rock, metal, funk, alternative, and studio settings. The pickups provide huge output and clarity, with deep lows, punchy mids, and articulate highs that sit incredibly well in a mix. Whether played fingerstyle or with a pick, this bass responds with authority and definition. The neck feels comfortable and fast, and the instrument plays smoothly up and down the fretboard with excellent resonance and sustain.
Cosmetically, the bass presents very well overall. There is some wear present on the headstock, which is quite common and expected with the classic Thunderbird shape. There is also some minor grain raising on the back of the neck. Both of these details are purely cosmetic and do not affect the playability, feel, or functionality of the instrument in any way. It still plays and sounds absolutely beautiful.
