This is a 1998 USA Taylor 312ce Left Hand electro-acoustic guitar, from the very first year of production, crafted in the El Cajon, California factory.
These early examples were fitted with the Fishman Prefix preamp and pickup system, which is extremely easy to use and delivers a clear, natural amplified tone. Ideal for both stage and studio work, there is no ritual required to achieve great sound – simply plug in and play. A genuine joy to use, and a feature sadly missed on many modern Taylor acoustics.
The condition is excellent for its age, with only a few minor dings and light surface marks. All are entirely in keeping with a well-cared-for 27-year-old guitar. Those years of careful playing have allowed this Grand Concert style acoustic to open up beautifully. The tone is rich and articulate, with impressive volume and balance. It truly sings, and will not disappoint. You just dont get this tone from a new guitar.
The guitar has received a full professional workshop setup, and the action is superb, making it ready for hours of effortless playing.
