PRODUCT DETAILS
Fresh into the shop and presented exactly as it should be, this 2026 Martin Road Series D-10E Retro with Aging Toner finish has been fully checked over and dialled in by our workshop team, so it’s playing cleanly, comfortably and ready to go straight out of the case.
Built to Martin’s 2016 Road Series factory specification, this model features an all-solid construction with a Sitka spruce top paired to Sapele back and sides, delivering a classic dreadnought platform with plenty of headroom and projection. The top is finished in Martin’s Aging Toner, giving it that subtly warmed, vintage-inspired appearance straight out of the box, while the rest of the body retains a clean satin finish that feels smooth and natural in hand.
The neck is shaped to Martin’s Performing Artist profile, with a high-performance taper that makes for an easy, modern playing experience up and down the board.
It’s topped with a Richlite fingerboard and bridge, offering excellent durability and a consistent feel, while maintaining a traditional look. Scale length is 25.4", nut width 1 3/4", and the overall geometry strikes a nice balance between comfort and that familiar Martin dreadnought authority.
Internally, the guitar uses scalloped X-bracing, helping the top respond freely and efficiently. This contributes to a lively, open voice with strong fundamentals and a pleasing dynamic range whether you’re playing lightly or really digging in.
Electronics come courtesy of the Fishman MX-T system, neatly integrated with a soundhole-mounted tuner. It’s a simple, reliable setup that captures the natural acoustic character well, making it an ideal choice for live work or quick plug-and-play situations without unnecessary complication.
Tonally, this is everything you’d want from a modern Martin dreadnought with a slightly woody edge from the sapele. The low end is full and rounded without becoming boomy, the midrange is clear and present—great for rhythm work and vocal accompaniment—and the top end has a crisp, articulate sparkle. There’s a dryness and focus to the response that records nicely, while still offering enough warmth to feel engaging in the room. It’s a versatile voice that suits strumming, flatpicking, and lighter fingerstyle equally well.
As a brand new instrument, it arrives in excellent condition, fully set up in-house for optimal playability, with comfortable action and precise intonation. A solid, no-nonsense Martin that delivers the goods both acoustically and plugged in.
